Janne has extensive clinical experience - mainly with adults, but also with children, young people and couples - in investigations, assessments and treatment of both mild mental disorders and more serious mental disorders. She works both with longer, more comprehensive therapy courses, and shorter, more structured courses.
In addition to being a specialist in psychology, Janne is a trained psychoanalyst and thus a specialist in intensive psychodynamic/psychoanalytic therapy which is based on regular therapeutic conversations, over a somewhat longer period of time. In such treatment, experiences and feelings from past and present relationships are examined with the aim of discovering, understanding and processing the protective mechanisms used to shield oneself from frightening and painful feelings, thoughts and experiences. Such mechanisms have often been helpful earlier in life, but now they can be the cause of, for example, relationship difficulties and/or psychological difficulties such as anxiety and depression. Janne is currently training to become a child and youth analyst.
Janne can also use structured, shorter-term forms of therapy such as EMDR (trauma therapy) and cognitive treatment methods. At the same time, she has a particular interest in Buddhist psychology, and is delving into mindfulness as a complementary treatment approach.
She also undertakes guidance assignments for other psychologists and health personnel.
