For many, making the decision and booking an appointment with a psychologist can be experienced as demanding. It can be difficult and feel vulnerable to have to talk to someone about how we really feel. I am therefore concerned with creating an open, warm and respectful atmosphere in the therapy room so that it feels possible for you to talk about what you are struggling with. For me, it is important that we start from what you are bothered by, feel stuck in and or that creates challenges in relation to yourself or others, so that we can work together so that you can feel freer and more flexible in the meeting with the challenges for which you are seeking therapy. I have a lot of experience with therapeutic work aimed at e.g. brooding, self-esteem problems, anxiety, restlessness, depression, intoxication, trauma, loneliness and fatigue. I am particularly concerned with how the way we relate to ourselves and what goes on inside us affects both how we feel about ourselves, and how we feel in relation to other people and to life in general.
Jeg var ferdig utdannet psykolog 2007, og ble ferdig spesialist i 2018. Gjennom årene har jeg jobbet i ulike deler av offentlig psykisk helsevern og i rusfeltet, men hovedsakelig på DPS, hvor jeg har jobbet med et bredt spekter av psykiske utfordringer. De siste årene har jeg vært tilknyttet PsykologVirke. Her jobber jeg med individualterapi for voksne, og primært innenfor en ISTDP (Intensive Short Term Dynamic Therapy) orientert forståelsesramme, men jeg integrerer også andre perspektiver og metoder etter behov.
Jeg tilbyr også EMDR behandling. EMDR står for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, og er en metode for bearbeiding av traumereaksjoner. Jeg har også videreutdanning i Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), som er en behandlingsform for kronisk smerte med svært gode resultater.
