What is recorded

Significant information from the conversations and communication outside with the psychologist must be recorded in accordance with the Health Personnel Act and the Patient and User Rights Act. Information is also needed here, such as address, personal and birth number, contact information for relatives and GPs.

This sensitive information is stored securely using encryption technology and two-factor login that complies with national data and privacy requirements and EU / EEA requirements through the GDPR.

As long as there is no question of danger to your or others' lives and health, and you yourself do not consent, the psychologist has a statutory duty of confidentiality. This also applies to GPs, relatives and other public bodies.

What kind of personal data do we process and why?

We process the following personal information:

Name, birth number, address, e-mail, telephone number, and your journal.

The purpose is solely to be able to offer psychological treatment. Registration of this information is mandatory when providing health care, see regulations on patient records at lovdata.no. We therefore only process the information that is relevant and necessary in relation to the purposes defined above.

Disclosure of personal information

We do not pass on your personal data to any other actors so your personal information is not disclosed to third parties. We only publish personal information about the legislation in very special cases that require this. For example, on reasonable suspicion that a client may be harming himself or others. Or if the psychologist's duty to report has been triggered due to suspicion of serious neglect for children under 18 years of age.

Secure storage of personal information

Psykologvirke uses the booking system onlinebooq.net and the journal system psychjournal to process personal data.

Data processor agreement has been entered into with the following suppliers onlinebooq and Psykolog Espen Johnsen (psych journal)

Our provider for video calls, Whereby is considered a data intermediary rather than a data processor. This is because no audio, image or video is stored. Whereby satisfies requirements for secure, fully encrypted call solutions.

Should a security breach nevertheless occur against all odds, which results in a high risk for you, we will notify you of this at the earliest opportunity.

Deletion of information

Records must be deleted when, for reasons of health care, it is no longer assumed that they are needed. If the journal information is not then to be preserved in accordance with the Archives Act or other legislation, it must be deleted, in practice this means 10 years after the last entry in the journal.

Your rights

As a general rule, you have the right to access your journal. You have the right to receive a copy if you wish.

If the journal contains errors or omissions, you can request correction or deletion. Then just contact us. We will answer you at the earliest opportunity and within 30 days at the latest. If a claim for rectification or deletion for any reason should nevertheless be rejected, you can complain to the County Governor.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint The Data Inspectorate about all matters related to the processing of your personal data. If you believe that you have received improper health care, is The county governor appropriate body for appeal.

Psychologvirke's systems are protected by security mechanisms such as passwords and two-step verification. This prevents misuse, loss or alteration of personal data stored in our system.
Psychologist work still can not guarantee that misuse, loss or alteration of data cannot occur, but we do everything we can to prevent this.

IP addresses

To the extent that an IP address can be said to be personal information, you agree that Psykologvirke can collect your IP address. The purpose is then system administration and to develop our websites. We will not normally associate an IP address with a user's personal information.
